  1. Start by adding listing types by going to Classified Listing 🡪 Listing Types and add the listing type as Rent. Some listing types will have appeared here by default. If you don’t want to work with them, you can delete them easily and remain with Rent.
  2. To create a property category, go to Classified Listing 🡪 Categories and create the category, such as Home. Select type, pricing, and icon.
  3. To add an icon for the category, click on Add Image 🡪 Browse and add the image you prefer to be your category icon.
  4. All you need to do to create more categories is to repeat the process.
  1. Add a new location by going to Classified Listing 🡪 Locations. On the box labeled Name, fill in the name of your location and click on the blue Add New Location button.

Creating Property Listing Form with Classified Listing Drag & Drop Form Builder

The most crucial but easy step is here: adding a property listing form with the drag & drop builder from Classified Listing.

  1. On your WordPress admin dashboard, go to Classified Listing 🡪 Form Builder before clicking the blue Add New Form button in the top right corner.
  2. Click on New Blank Form to see the user-friendly interface of the drag & drop form builder. Rename the form something like Rental Property.
  3. On the Section Title, click on edit and replace Section Title with Rent form or any other relevant section title.
  4. Add new sections by clicking on the plus (+) button on the existing sections. You will also move the new sections via drag & drop.
  5. To your right, you will have many listed Preset Fields. From this list, drag and drop Listing Type onto the first section and place Category as the next field in the same section. On the Section Title, click on edit and replace Section Title with Property Name.
  6. Drag and drop the Pricing preset field and rename the section Rental Pricing. The section will come with some preset options with checkboxes.
  7. Now Create a Property Info section, dragging and dropping the Number field and replacing the word ‘Number’ with Square Feet. Replicate the same field and change the name twice to create fields for Bedrooms and Bathrooms.
  8. Drag and drop the preset field for Dropdown for Pets fields. Edit the options on the panel to your left to have Allowed and Not Allowed options. Replicate this field and edit to create a Check-In field and edit the options to have check-in times for example, After 11:00 AM and After 12:00 PM. Copy the same field to create a Check Out field with its own time options.
  9. Edit a description field for Property Details and add Tag from the preset fields.
  10. Create another section and rename it Property Image/Video. Drag and drop Images and Video URL preset fields onto the section.
  11. Add another Section for Contact Info and drag & drop fields for Phone, Location, and Map.
  12. You can rearrange the sections as you may wish. When satisfied with your form, click on the blue button on the top right corner that reads Save Form.
  13. Click on the Form List item at the top of your page and make this form the default by toggling the Default option button. Delete other forms if you don’t need them.

If you want to create a new form, repeat the process.

How Users Add Properties for Rent

Here is how users can add their property listings without bothering the admin:

  1. On the top right corner of the website, click on the red Add Listing button. Look over the form carefully.
  2. They can fill in the form, for instance filling in the Listing Type as Rent, Category as House, and give descriptive titles like Single Family House for Rent. They can also enter the price and price unit like Month (per Month) before filling out property details. The next thing is writing detailed descriptions about the property, attaching images and videos, location, and contact information with everything in its proper field.
  3. Click on the Submit button at the bottom end of the form.
  4. The submission will appear among the listings on the All Ads page, which is accessible from the top menu of your website. Clicking on a specific ad will give you access to the Listing Details page.
